Jayapura- The results of the National Police NCO selection at the Papua Regional Police this year received appreciation from various parties.
One of them came from the government of the Papua Mountain Province which was conveyed by Acting Governor Felix V Wanggai.
According to Felix, the reception this time was very disappointing because it was dominated by Papuan children.
“We are quite proud that many Papuan children have been accepted, including 186 Mountain Papuan children who are currently undergoing training to form National Police Non-Commissioned Officers,” said Felix.
The Acting Governor of Central Papua, Rebekah Haluk, also conveyed the same thing.
Rebekah hopes that the policy of affirming the acceptance of thousands of National Police members can continue to be implemented, so that it can open up opportunities for Papuan children to take part in police institutions.
Rebekah did not forget to thank the National Police Chief and Papua Regional Police Chief for the policies that support Papuan children.
“The acceptance this time is extraordinary, because many Papuan children have been accepted to become police, especially since this acceptance will last until 2028,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Malind LMA, Merauke Regency, Frederikus W Mahuse, expressed his appreciation to the National Police Chief and Papua Regional Police Chief for the policies which have had a big impact on the Papuan people.
“The acceptance is very, very extraordinary, many of our children are accepted to become police officers,” he said.
He also really appreciated the implementing committee for Polri recruitment at the Papua Regional Police for their transparency during the selection process.
“Everything is clear, everything is open, this development is extraordinary, I salute the National Police Chief and the National Police Chief, thank you also to the selection committee, in this case the Papua Police HR Department,” he explained.
The Papua Regional Police succeeded in recruiting 2000 National Police NCOs, who are now undergoing education at 5 SPDs outside Papua.
There were 1,333 Papuan native Papuan National Police non-commissioned officers, while the number of non-OAP non-OAP non-OAP officers was 667.
