Jayapura – Chairman of the Papuan Catholic Youth, Melianus Asso, expressed his appreciation to the TNI and Polri security forces who have worked to keep the Land of Papua safe and conducive, especially the City of Jayapura.
“Papua can develop now, because security can be conducive,” he said.
With current conducive security, Melianus hopes that it will remain maintained, “If Papua wants to continue to progress, then let us join hands to keep Papua safe and peaceful,” he stressed.
Melianus hopes that as a parent province, Papua can provide an example of peace for the expansion provinces (new autonomous regions). Especially during the upcoming regional elections.
“If Papua is safe, the new province will also remain safe,” he explained
He also invited all levels of society to join hands to create peace.
“Let’s remove the stigma of differences which has been a dividing wall. Peace is beautiful, so let’s protect Papua and Jayapura City, eliminate the stigma that brings destruction. “We are all one nation and one language,” he stressed.
