Oksibil- The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) Kodap 35 Bintang Timur has again caused trouble by burning down one of the elementary schools (SD) in the Bintang Mountains area, Okbap District, Borban Village. This incident occurred on Friday 12 July 2024, when the students and teachers were not there.
Head of Operations (Kaops) Peace Cartenz 2024, Brigadier General Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., when confirmed, expressed his disappointment with this brutal action.
“We really regret this incident, where the KKB burned down educational facilities where people could gain knowledge. This action not only harms children and teachers, but also damages the future of our young generation,” said Brigadier General Pol. Faizal Ramadhani.
According to Brigadier General Pol. Faizal, the act of burning down the school reflects a crime that must be dealt with firmly. He emphasized that security forces will continue to make maximum efforts to arrest and punish the perpetrators of this crime.
“We will not remain silent. Strict law enforcement will continue to be carried out to ensure security and order in this area,” he added.
Meanwhile, Head of the ODC 2024 Public Relations Task Force, Commissioner Pol. Dr. Bayu Suseno, SH., SIK., MM., MH., condemned the act of arson carried out by the KKB because it disturbed order and security in the district area. Star Mountains.
“We strongly condemn this brutal act. We will make every effort to ensure public safety. There were no casualties in the burning of this school, but the teaching and learning process was temporarily stopped,” he said.
This incident is not the first time this has occurred in the district. Bintang Mountains targeted public facilities, namely in September 2023 they burned down SMK Negeri 1 Oksibil.
“It should be noted that in the Okbab Kampung Borban District there are no TNI or Polri posts, so KKB Kodap 35 Bintang Timur led by Ananias Atimimin, coordinated by Enos Kakyarmabin, was free to burn down the school,” he concluded.
