Jayapura- Ahead of the regional elections in Tanah Papua, Papua Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri said that National Police personnel must also master technology, as time goes by. “Mass security issues, the handling of issues must be monitored quickly, the national priority program process must be monitored seriously, the quality of services must be improved”
“Crimes with advanced technology must be anticipated, all of this requires alertness and speed, it also requires mastery of technology and innovation. “What is no less important is that communication and community support are needed in carrying out police duties,” explained the Papua Police Chief.
The Papua Regional Police Chief also touched on the ongoing stages of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections, and for the first time being held in the Papua Mountain Province. He hopes that the regional elections can be held successfully, just like the 2024 elections.
“With the support and cooperation of all parties, we will make the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections a success. Papua will be a barometer for the province furthest from the capital which is said to be vulnerable to security and social order but has succeeded in making the elections peaceful. “If yesterday’s legislative and presidential elections (2024 elections, ed) were successful, the 2024 simultaneous regional elections must also be successful.”
“Let’s join hands together to build brotherhood without distinction between ethnicity, race or religion, in order to realize safe, smooth and successful regional elections in the Land of Papua,” said the Regional Police Chief.
