Jayapura- The figure of Abisai Rollo (ABR) is no longer a stranger to the people of Papua, especially the city of Jayapura. This is because ABR, who is familiarly called Ondoafi Skouw Yambe, is one of the Papuan figures who has a high spirit of nationalism towards the Republic of Indonesia.
With this high nationalist spirit, the Chairman of the Jayapura City DPRD is of the opinion that he does not agree with the national jargon “NKRI is fixed price”.
According to him, the Land of Papua is part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) and that is final, for that reason there is no longer a fixed price, but the Republic of Indonesia until it dies. “So, the Land of Papua has been part of the framework of the Republic of Indonesia since Indonesia became independent in 1945 and that is final,” said Abisai Rollo.
He believes that in the context of Papua, the Republic of Indonesia is no longer a fixed price, because the word price is used which might mean that there will be bargaining there, therefore the Republic of Indonesia must die and this word is much more appropriate.
“For me, the sentence NKRI until death is much more meaningful, so that we all realize that the most important basis is to love this country of Indonesia,” he stressed. Because according to ABR, the word price is used, because the price can be negotiated like goods sold in the market or in the center of the world, so it needs to be changed to the Republic of Indonesia until it dies.
“Since childhood, my parents have instilled in me to love the Republic of Indonesia and to this day my family and I are still loyal, and I emphasize that I do not want to be a traitor to the Indonesian nation,” he said.
ABR certainly wants the Land of Papua, more specifically Jayapura City, to be safe from all problems and problems. He invited all residents of Jayapura City to continue to love the Republic of Indonesia and not do things that are detrimental to the Indonesian state or people’s lives in terms of religion, ethnicity, race and class because there are differences in views.
“We are all Indonesian citizens who live in Jayapura City and the Land of Papua. “We must be united and must not be divided because of differences in understanding,” he concluded.
