Jayapura, June 28, 2024 – In an effort to strengthen ties and align perceptions to support police duties, Ops Damai Cartenz 2024, through its Public Relations Task Force, held a meeting with media representatives in Jayapura. The event took place at Café Resistance, Dok 2, Jayapura City, on Friday afternoon and was led by Brigadier Police Officer Victor Merani.
Ajun Komisaris Besar Polisi (AKBP) Dr. Bayu Suseno, S.H., S.I.K., M.M., M.H., Head of the Public Relations Task Force for Ops Damai Cartenz-2024, explained that this gathering is a regular agenda aimed at ensuring good relations and effective collaboration between the police and journalists.
“The synergy between us and the media is crucial for the success of Ops Damai Cartenz’s tasks. The media is a strategic partner in delivering accurate information and educating the public,” said AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno.
AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno also expressed his hope that the well-established collaboration would continue to improve. “We hope that this cooperation will continue and grow stronger. With the support and good synergy between the police and the media, we believe we can create a conducive and safe situation in Papua. Moving forward, we aim to face various challenges together and achieve our set goals,” added Bayu.
During the occasion, Brigpol Victor Merani thanked the media representatives for the cooperation that has been well-maintained so far. He appreciated the journalists’ contributions in supporting Ops Damai Cartenz’s activities, which aim to create a safe and peaceful environment in Papua.
Additionally, several technical issues encountered during the execution of tasks were a primary focus of the discussion. Brigpol Victor stated that all feedback and suggestions from journalists would be conveyed to the leadership, in this case, the Head of the Public Relations Task Force for Ops Damai Cartenz, to be addressed for improving future collaboration.
“This meeting is expected to further strengthen the good relationship between the Ops Damai Cartenz Public Relations Task Force and the journalists, as well as enhance the effectiveness of communication and coordination in maintaining security and order in Jayapura,” concluded Brigpol Victor.
