Jayapura – Responding to a series of brutal actions carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Paniai, Central Papua recently, this must be eradicated.
Chairman of the Indigenous Youth of the Saireri Nabire Traditional Area, and also Secretary General of the DPP Barisan Merah Putih RI, as well as Chairman of the DPD Pemuda Mandala Trikora Papua Province, Ali Kabiay said that what they were doing in the area had seriously disturbed the comfort and security of the community.
“Because the chaos they are causing is really hampering development carried out by the regional government, and hampering the education, economic and other sectors, thus causing community activities to be hampered,” said Ali as quoted by Tribun-Papua.com, in Nabire, Wednesday, ( 6/26/2024).
Due to this, Ali also asked the security forces to take firm action against this group, but with applicable procedures or rules.
“So that they will no longer cause chaos and criminal acts that disturb the community, because what this group has done is classified as a misguided crime,” he said.
Then the role of all components of society is also really needed to fight this KKB group.
“So that they no longer disturb the peace that has been embedded in Paniai,” he said.
Apart from that, according to Ali, the role of regional governments also needs to be played in limiting these armed criminal groups.
“This means that local governments must always remind the public to do positive things,” he said.
Then it is also necessary to always be present in the community by carrying out local government programs well and appropriately.
“So that the people there (Paniai) can also feel the good and direct impact, so that they are not easily provoked by groups that are contrary to the principle of state sovereignty,” he concluded.
