Jayapura- The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) acted again by shooting a member of Koramil 1717-02/Sinak, on Jalan Bandara, Tapulinik Village, Sinak District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua Province on Saturday 15 June 2024, at 13.20 WIT, as a result , the victim died.
Head of Cartenz 2024 Peace Operations Kombes Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, when confirmed, said that, it was true that a shooting had occurred in the Sinak District against a member of Koramil 1717-02/Sinak in the name of Praka Hendrik Fonataba.
Meanwhile, Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force, AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno also said that the victim allegedly suffered a gunshot wound to the back so that the victim died while on duty.
“We can convey that the perpetrator of this shooting was the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in the Sinak area led by Kalenak Murib,” concluded AKBP. Dr. Bayu Suseno.
AKBP. Dr. Bayu Suseno again explained that the incident occurred at 13.20 WIT, when members were carrying out patrol duties using four-wheeled vehicles.
“Currently the victim has been evacuated to the Sinak health center to receive further treatment,” said the Head of the Public Relations Task Force for Ops Damai cartenz-2024.
He continued, After shooting the victim, the perpetrators, members of the KKB, immediately fled to Tinongame village to escape pursuit by the joint TNI-Polri apparatus.
“We from the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Task Force and the joint TNI-Polri apparatus have responded to this incident by pursuing KKB, the perpetrator of this shooting,” explained AKBP. Dr. Bayu Suseno.
He added that the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Task Force would continue to pursue and enforce strict and measurable laws against the KKB group in Papua.
