Mimika- Papua Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Mathius D Fakhiri expressed his gratitude to the people of Mimika Regency for the success of the legislative and presidential elections which have ended.
He said that Mimika Regency was part of helping the Papua Police not to complicate security in Papua.
“I am very grateful to the people in Miimika Regency who have maintained peace, so that the implementation of the Legislative and Presidential Elections can take place quite conducively. “I also hope that the government and society will continue to maintain this conduciveness for the next regional elections,” he said.
The Regional Police Chief continued, during the election process, the situation was still under control and the security of the apparatus was under control. Several problems that arise can be resolved according to legal guidelines.
He asked that the one who won not be discouraged. Meanwhile, those who have not been selected remain grateful and tolerant.
“For those who haven’t won, hopefully in 2029 they can be elected as people’s representatives to develop their respective provinces and districts,” he hoped.
