Timika – Joint TNI-Polri officers carried out a crime scene investigation (TKP) related to the burning of several school buildings and kiosks carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led by Undinus Kogoya, Friday (24/05/2024).
Paniai Police Chief, AKBP Abdus Syukur Felani, represented by Paniai Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, Ipda Florentinus J.P Tegu, S.Tr.K stated that this crime scene investigation activity was the Paniai Police’s response to the criminal act of burning kiosks and several Kepas Kopo school buildings.
“From the results of the crime scene investigation, several items were confiscated at the Kiosk crime scene that were burned, including 2 (two) pieces of zinc, several pieces of wood, tubes, motorbike debris, 4 (four) door handles, and 3 (three) motorbike rims, all of which were “It’s already on fire,” he explained.
“Meanwhile, at the Kepas Kopo school building crime scene, several items that were seized included 5 (five) ammunition casings, motorbike exhaust, zinc, chairs and wood, all of which had also been burned,” he added.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit said that several of the items had been secured at the Paniai Police for further investigation.
“The Paniai Police are intensively carrying out further investigations to identify and arrest the perpetrators of the arson,” he said.
Kasat appealed to the public to remain calm and provide any information that could help the investigation to the police.
