Timika- Assistant Chief of Police Inspector General Pol. Verdianto I. Bitticaca, supervised Timika, in order to directly check the progress of the Caretnz-2024 Damai Operation on Monday 6 May 202, at 08.50 WIT, at the Cartenz-202 Peace Ops Command Post, Mako Yon B Pelopor Mimika, Kuala Kencana District Mimika Regency.
Also present during the visit were the Head of Damai Operations Cartenz-2024, Kombespol Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, and the PJU Ops Damai Cartenz-2024, as well as the National Police Chief’s Assistant Chief of Police Supervision Team led by the National Police Chief’s Assistant Inspector General Pol. Verdianto I. Bitticaca.
Assistant Chief of Police Inspector General Pol. Verdianto I. Bitticaca, at the meeting, said that the Dami Cartenz operation was a routine operation carried out every year to protect the community from interference by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) and the Political Criminal Group (KKP).
“Synergy between task forces must be truly maintained, and work honestly and sincerely so that they can bring peace to the people of Papua,” said the Inspector General of Police. Verdianto I. Bitticaca.
He continued, “On this occasion, we will also give awards from the National Police Chief, personnel and the Cartenz DamaiOps Team for their achievements.
“We also express our gratitude to all Cartenz Damai Ops personnel who are on duty at posts, in the 9 Cartenz Peace Operation areas and our message is, continue to carry out their duties with enthusiasm and remain alert and the main thing is to take care of your own health.
Meanwhile, Head of Damai Operations Cartenz-2024, Police Commissioner, Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, during the meeting, also said that in general, the Peace Cartenz-2024 operation was very successful in uncovering cases involving active KKB members.
“We have carried out firm and measurable law enforcement efforts against the KKB in our 9 operational areas, and of course we carry out this law enforcement in a firm and measurable manner,” said the Police Commissioner. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani.
Apart from that, the Head of the Cartenz-2024 Damai Ops Public Relations Task Force, AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno, when asked for information, also added that, apart from the supervision activities carried out in Timika, the National Police Chief’s Asops Team would also carry out supervision in the Bintang Mountains area and Jayapura City.
“Of course, this supervision activity will have a positive impact on the success of the Caretenz-2024 Damai operation in 9 operational areas in Papua.”
AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno also hopes for support from community leaders, youth, customs and the church in creating peace in Papua.
