Papuan Youth leader, Ali Kabiay, responded to the acts of violence carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) against Indigenous Papuan and non-Papuan Civil Society and even TNI – Polri security forces in Papua.
According to Ali, the acts of violence carried out by the KKB were acts of terror which had a broad impact on the people in Papua.
“People are always haunted by fear, because of the threats that (KKB) often makes,” he said,
Ali asked law enforcement officials to act firmly, and that the public fully supports the actions of security officials in enforcing the law against the KKB.
“Please let the authorities act, because we have nothing to do with that group,” said Ali.
Ali also asked the public to join hands in maintaining the security and social security situation in Papua, considering that it will not be long before the 2024 simultaneous regional elections will be held.
“The regional elections are just around the corner, let’s maintain peace for progress in the Land of Papua,” he exclaimed.
