Mimika- After the killing of Abu Bakar Kogoya who was shot by joint TNI-Polri officers from the Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force on April 4 2024, joint TNI-Polri officers continued to make strategic efforts to secure security in Tembagapura District, Mimika Regency, Central Papua which is the mining operational area of PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI).
Until now, Mimika Police Chief AKBP I Gede Putra stated that the situation in Tembagapura District is still safe and conducive.
“All activities in Tembagapura are currently running normally,” said AKBP I Gede Putra.
After law enforcement in the Tembagapura area, said the National Police Chief, joint TNI-Polri personnel continued to carry out security efforts and strategies to prevent disruption of activities in the area.
The TNI-Polri will always be present in the interests of protecting society and the country, he said.
“The addition of personnel will be adjusted to the dynamics of the situation in the field,” he added.
