Jayapura- Ondoafi or Sosiri Tribal Chief Boas Asa Henock expressed support and appreciation for the program to accept 2,000 National Police NCOs within the Papua Regional Police.
Moreover, he said, there is a special quota for children of tribal chiefs or ondoafi and this acceptance is also given priority to Indigenous Papuans (OAP).
“This program is a form of respect from the National Police for the ondoafi and tribal chiefs in Papua,” said Ondoafi Sosiri Boas Asa Henock.
He said, although there are specificities, the process of executing potential National Police NCOs can be carried out according to procedures.
Don’t give the impression, he continued, that recruitment was forced in order to fulfill the special quota given to tribal chiefs.
“Even though it’s an Ondoafi child, if his health condition doesn’t allow it, then don’t force him,” concluded Boas Henock.
