Jayapura – A civilian named Dani (45) was killed when the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) acted in Baya Biru District, Paniai Regency, Central Papua.
The attack also resulted in two policemen being shot dead while securing the helipad. They are Bripda Arnaldobert Yawan and Bripda Sandi Defrit Sayuri.
Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police, Commissioner Pol. Ignatus Benny Ady Prabowo said that the incident started when 2 members of the National Police were attacked by the Armed Criminal Group led by Aibon Kogoya.
“After that, after the incident, there were civilians who were lifeless and were hit by arrows in the back,” explained Benny.
Currently, the body is being kept at the home of a resident of the Baya Biru District and will be buried soon.
Benny said that the actions carried out by the Armed Criminal Group only caused chaos and even sadness for the people of Paniai Regency.
