Jayapura – Pastor Lipiyus Biniluk, as Chair of the Papua Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB), gave a positive response to the 2024 Election democratic party stages. In his statement, he stated that this democratic party was extraordinary, and during the preparations for the Election stages, everything went well .
Pastor Lipiyus Biniluk praised the outreach efforts carried out by the Papua Regional Police together with Forkopimda regarding peaceful elections. He assessed that the socialization was very good, involving activities such as religious activities, meetings, socialization, and appeals, although limited, this was not considered a big problem.
Even though there are pros and cons and there are parties who feel disadvantaged, Pastor Lipiyus Biniluk is of the opinion that the stakeholders at the polling station have worked wisely and honestly. He emphasized that all these things were just the work of individuals who wanted to divide unity in Papua.
“In facing the election results, we appeal to the candidates who were not elected to prepare themselves better and avoid attempts to incite the public to actions that could disturb the peace in this land,” he said.
For those who are selected, Pastor Lipiyus hopes that they will carry out their duties as a noble task and always adhere to religious values. He also expressed his prayers so that the entire election process until its completion would run smoothly and peacefully.
Pastor Lipiyus Biniluk also wished Muslims in the Land of Papua a happy fasting pilgrimage, while inviting all elements of society to increase tolerance in welcoming this holy month.
“I also express my hope that the upcoming Good Friday and Easter can be carried out safely and solemnly,” he said.
