Jayapura – Open Plenary Recapitulation of Vote Counting Results for the Provincial Election in Papua is entering the 5th and 3rd day of the Papua Special Region.
Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police, Police Commissioner Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, S.H., S.I.K., M.Kom when contacted via telephone said, it is true that today Saturday (09/03/2024) the Open Plenary Recapitulation of the 2024 Election Results at the Provincial level in Papua and 3 new autonomous regions is underway .
The Head of Public Relations added that according to the schedule for today in Papua there are 4 districts that plan to hold the Plenary, namely Kab. Mamberamo Raya, Keerom, Biak Numfor and Waropen. We hope to be able to run safely and smoothly according to the schedule determined by the Papua KPU.
“The security system carried out by the Papua Regional Police both in Papua and the 3 new autonomous regions remains in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), namely inside and outside the Plenary venue to ensure that the proceedings or situation is safe and conducive,” said the Head of Public Relations.
“Every person who enters the plenary room will have goods and people checked using X Ray and Sacdoor equipment and using a hand metal detector,” he added.
This inspection was carried out by the Sterilization Task Force, namely from the Papua Police Civil Service Directorate led by AKP Fainal Saputra, S.H. as Head of the Sterilization Sub-Task Force and AKP Norce Marlissa as Team Leader.
“Security of the open plenary meeting at the level of Papua Province and 3 new autonomous regions which was carried out by Papua Regional Police Personnel and Polres/ta ranks was aimed at providing a sense of comfort, so that the activity could take place smoothly and successfully,” said the Head of Public Relations.
The Head of Public Relations also said that Polri personnel carrying out security duties should display an attractive, humanistic performance and carry out their duties in accordance with SOPs and applicable laws and regulations.
