Jayapura – The security and social security situation in the 9 Cartenz-2024 Peace Operation Areas, during the post-election plenary stage, was relatively conducive and there were no disturbances from Armed Criminal Groups (KKB) and Political Criminal Groups (KKP), Friday (08/03/2024) .
The nine Cartenz-2024 Peace Operation Areas include 3 provinces, namely, Papua Province, Papua Mountains and Central Papua Province which consists of Yahukimo, Mimika, Intan Jaya, Dogiyai, Puncak, Nduga, Mimika, Jayawijaya and Jayapura Regencies.
Head of Cartenz-2024 Peace operations, Police Commissioner. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., when confirmed, said. Overall, security and social security in the 9 Cartenz-2024 Peace operation areas is relatively safe and conducive until the current plenary stage.
“We are monitoring the security and social security situation in 9 operational areas, the implementation of the vote recapitulation and the plenary meeting can run well. There is no interference from the KKB or KKP, although there have been several incidents in the last 4 days, such as what happened in Timika, Tolikara, Wamena and Yahukimo. “However, the situation can still be controlled by the security forces. So in general, to this day, we can still control the situation,” said Head of Peace Ops Cartenz-2024.
Meanwhile, Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Operation Public Relations Task Force, AKBP. Dr. Bayu Suseno, SH, SIK, MM, MH., also said that Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops personnel would remain on standby to strengthen election security from the Mantap Brata operation during the election stages until completion.
“Yes, that’s right, we from the Cartenz-2024 Peace Operation personnel to this day continue to alert our personnel to strengthen colleagues who are members of Operation Mantap Brata so that the security and social security situation in Papua can be safe and under control,” he concluded.
He also added that, we do not forget to thank the people of the nine Cartenz-2024 Peace Operation areas, for their good cooperation so that security is maintained and this Democratic Party can run well, safely and smoothly.
