Jayapura- The Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force succeeded in arresting 1 member of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in the Puncak area, in the name of Jukius Tabuni (32 years) whose address is in Yenggernok Village, Gome District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua Province. Jukius Tabuni was arrested on Saturday 2 March 2024, in Kago Village, Ilaga District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua Province.

“The chronology begins with a public report which provided information about the whereabouts of Jukius Tabuni in Kago village. “Jukius Tabuni was involved in the seizure of firearms from members of the Pospol KP3 Air Puncak Police on February 1 2024. This incident occurred when the Head of Pol KP3 Air and two of his personnel were about to deliver a two-wheeled vehicle belonging to the BKD Service from Ilaga Airport to the Market Complex using a truck. “When we arrived at the scene, there was an attack by an unknown person (OTK) who quickly opened the truck door and took away the firearm.” Said the Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force.
AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno added, “Currently, Jukius Tabuni has been detained at the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Command Post in the Puncak area for further examination and development. This arrest is a quick response from the Cartenz 2024 Peace Task Force in an effort to overcome security in the Ilaga area and confirms the commitment of the security forces to protect the community from the threat of armed criminal groups.
