This was the authorities’ response to the disruption of the shooting of the Wings Air IW 1646 ATR 700 PK WGT aircraft on Saturday 17 February 2024. As a result of the shooting, Private Ongen R. Dori, a member of Kodim 1715 Yahukimo, suffered abrasions on the left side of his neck due to glass fragments hit by a bullet.

Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, when confirmed, stated that from the results of the examination by the investigators of the Peace Ops Cartenz-2024 for the Yahukimo Region, we identified that from old photos on social media and video documents of past incidents, he resembled the suspect KKB OTNIEL GIBAN alias BOLONG GIBAN who died during a gunfight at the Brasa Yahukimo River crime scene. The person concerned is a member of the Ndugama KKB who is active in the Wosak Battalion, led by Yotam Bugiangge.

“The person concerned is male and has an address in Nduga Regency. “OTNIEL GIBAN alias BOLONG GIBAN is included in the Yahukimo Police’s Wanted List (DPO) (DPO/08/VIII/2022/Reskrim, in August 2022 and is part of the Ndugama KKB group and is active in the Wosak Battalion, led by Yotam Bugiangge,” explained Ka Cartenz Peace Ops.

The criminal acts that have been carried out by the person concerned include:

2. Attack on civilians in Nogolait Village, Kenyam District, Nduga Regency on July 16 2022 which resulted in 11 MD and 2 people being injured.
3. Gunfire contact with officers in Nogolait Village, Kenyam District on July 19 2022. There were no victims in this incident.
4. Interception of civil society and confiscation of cellphones on the main road in Krepkuri District, Nduga Regency on July 25 2022. In this incident, there were no victims.
5. Burning of heavy equipment belonging to Pt. Tunas Jaya Irian on August 4 2022 which resulted in 4 heavy equipment being damaged.
6. The attack on members of Kodim 1715 Yahukimo which resulted in the death of PRIVATE LUKAS WOREMBAI occurred on Wednesday, March 1 2023, on Jalan Yahuli, Woi Complex, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency
7. The shooting of PRIVATE AGUNG PAMUJI LAKOSONO on August 21 2023 on Jalan Yahuli, Sekai District, Yahukimo Regency, which resulted in the victim’s death.
8. The murder of gold panners in Kali Ei, Seradala District, Yahukimo Regency on October 16 2023, which resulted in 13 people dying and people being injured.
9. Shooting of TNI members a.n PRAKA SEPTIANO ARYA LAWE, SERTU RONALDO SERILUS ABI, SERTU SUPRIANTO and Civil Society a.n DOMINIUS NANA, on 05 February 2024, on Jalan Siep Asso, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency, which resulted in the victim being injured.
10. The shooting of the Wings Air plane which occurred in the Nop Goliat Dekai Airport Area, Yahukimo Regency, on February 17 2024 which resulted in Private Ongen R. Dori, a member of Kodim 1715 Yahukimo, suffering abrasions on the left side of his neck due to glass fragments being hit. bullet.
