Jayapura- One member of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), EPSON NIRIGI, who acted as a supplier of ammunition and weapons to KKB Kodap III Ndugama led by Egianus Kogoya, was successfully arrested by the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Task Force in the Mimika area on Tuesday, 20 February 2024. The arrest was made at the Lavela In Hotel, Jalan Kalimutu, Mimika City, while the person concerned was attending a vote recapitulation meeting for Jita District, Mimika Regency, Central Papua.
Police Commissioner. Faizal Ramadhani, Head of Ops Damai Cartenz-2024, stated that EPSON NIRIGI is an active member of the KKB from Kodap III Ndugama and is a subordinate of Egianus Kogoya.
“It is known that he is 35 years old and has his address at Noema Village, Jita District, Mimika Regency. “Currently EPSON NIRIGI has been detained at the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Task Force Command Post, Mimika Region for further investigation.” Concluded Head of Peace Ops Cartens-2024.

“During the arrest, the Task Force succeeded in confiscating a number of pieces of evidence, including 1 waist bag, 116 thousand cash, 1 Oppo charger, 1 lighter, 2 note books, 1 flash disk, 1 BRI bank ATM card, 1 “KTP, 1 BPJS card, 1 Kuala Papua Indonesia Foundation visitor card, 1 SIM C, passport photo, 1 motorbike STNK, 1 wallet and 1 postcard,” said the Head of the Public Relations Task Force.

Dr. Bayu Suseno added that the confiscation of KKB EPSON NIRIGI began with a public report which reported that the person concerned was taking part in the ongoing vote recapitulation meeting at the Lavela In Hotel. The Cartenz Peace Ops Task Force in the Mimika area immediately made an arrest and took the person concerned to the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Command Post in Mimika for further investigation.
