Jayapura- KKB member, ALENUS TABUNI alias KOBUTER who was secured by the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Task Force on Sunday, February 18, 2024, in front of the Ilaga District Health Center, Puncak Regency has an important role in a number of criminal acts that have occurred in the Puncak area so far.
When confirmed regarding the security of 1 KKB member, the head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace operation, Kombes Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., said, KKB member, ALENUS TABUNI alias KOBUTER is included in the KKB Goliath Tabuni group. But for now he has joined the KKB led by NUMBUK TELENGGEN in Puncak Regency.
“We can say that, the KKB member, ALENUS TABUNI alias KOBUTER who we secured, is a group from the KKB led by GOLIATH TABUNI but he is currently joining the KKB led by NUMBUK TELENGGEN in the Puncak area,” said Ka Ops Damai Cartenz.
In addition, the Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Operation Public Relations Task Force, AKBP. Dr. Bayu Suseno, SH, SIK, MM, MH, when confirmed also said that the KKB member, ALENUS TABUNI, had played a role in criminal acts in Puncak Regency, such as one of which was involved in the criminal act of burning PT Unggul Basecame on February 11, 2021 in Jenggerpaga Village, Ilaga District, Puncak Regency. In that action, he played a role in taking kerosene from the kitchen then dousing and setting fire.
ALENUS TABUNI alias KOBUTER, has a number of criminal records from actions that occurred in Puncak Regency such as:
- On February 11, 2021, he was involved in the burning of PT Unggul’s basecame in Jenggerpaga Village, Ilaga District, Puncak Regency.
- On April 14, 2021, was involved in the shooting of a motorcycle taxi driver A.n UDIN near the Eromaga village hall which resulted in the death of the victim.
- On April 24, 2021, beating the head of Gome District, brother NIUS TABUNI, in Gome District, Puncak Regency.
- On May 3, 2021, was involved in the shooting of TNI members in Undome village, Gome District, Puncak Regency from this incident the victim survived.
- On May 9, 2021, was involved in the burning of tourism buildings around Aminggaru airport, Ilaga District, Puncak Regency.
- On May 11, 2021, he wanted to burn the truck used by the TNI-Polri apparatus around the location of tourism buildings around Aminggaru airport, Ilaga District, Puncak Regency, but his intention was not carried out because the truck had moved.
- On June 3, 2021, he was involved in the shooting of brother HABEL ALENGPEN which resulted in the death of the victim.
- Then, on the same date, namely, June 3, 2021, again destroyed and burned residents’ houses and a number of facilities at Aminggaru Airport in Ilaga, Puncak Regency.
- On August 16, 2021, he was involved in armed contact with members of the TNI in Welenggaru Village and Kugibur Village, North Gome District, Puncak Regency.
- On August 18, 2021, he was involved in gunfire with TNI members in Mundidok village and Tuanggi village, Ilaga District, Puncak Regency. In this firefight there were no victims.
- And on February 4, 2024, he was again involved in a shootout with TNI-POLRI security forces in the PT Unggul area, in Jenggerpaga Village, Ilaga District, Puncak Regency. In this firefight there were no victims.
“Another role in the criminal record in Puncak Regency is, helping the KKB leader, NUMBUK TELENGGEN bring ammunition and firearms during a firefight, including storing and securing ammunition and firearms”. AKBP concluded. Dr. Bayu Suseno.
