Jayapura – Papuan Religious Figure Pdt. DR. Yan P. Wabrauw appreciated and expressed his gratitude, the implementation of the 2024 General Election in Papua Province ran safely, orderly and smoothly, Friday (16/02/2024).
Pdt. DR. Yan P. Wabrauw expressed his gratitude to all parties involved in maintaining security and smoothness during the 2024 election process, especially the KPU organizers, Bawaslu, and security forces.
“We have completed the elections in the land of Papua in a safe and peaceful atmosphere. Thank God for everything we have done and be reminded that even though there are differences here and there between us, after the elections, let’s return to being one, we maintain unity,” said Pdt. Wabrauw.
Furthermore, he said that as children of the nation and the most important thing is whatever the election results are, everyone chooses the President and Vice President, whoever is elected is the representative of all of us.
“Let’s maintain brotherhood and return to carrying out our responsibilities as citizens of our country to safeguard development, especially safeguarding and supporting the development that is taking place in Papua,” he said.
He also appealed to all the people of Papua Province wherever they are, to work together to protect each other and maintain a conducive security and social security situation in Papua Province.
“All parties must respect the results of the democratic party, and work together to build a Papua Province that is “Continuously Progressive”, independent, prosperous and religious,” he said.
