Jayapura- The Head of Operation Peace Cartenz-2024, Kombes Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos, S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by the Main Officials of Ops Damai Cartenz-2024 carried out a working visit to Kiwirok District, Pegunungan Bintang Regency in order to see firsthand the security situation in Kiwirok which has gradually recovered due to security disturbances from armed criminal groups (KKB) led by Lamek Taplo since 2021.
During his working visit, the Head of Cartenz Peace Ops and his entourage were welcomed by the Head of Kiwirok District, Mr. Abedeus Tepmul and the Kiwirok District Community.
The Head of Operation Peace Cartenz-2024, Kombes Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos, S.I.K., M.H., on this occasion stated that the people in Kiwirok District can now return to carry out their daily activities without fear, after previously they secured themselves in the city of Oksibil. This recovery cannot be separated from the cooperation between the security forces and the local community.
“We would like to thank the local government of Pegunungan Bintang Regency and the people of Kiwirok District who have assisted the security forces in providing a sense of security and comfort to the people in Kiwirok District,” said Kombes Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani.

AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno, S.H., S.I.K., M.M., M.H., said that the purpose of the working visit of Ka Ops Damai Cartenz-2024 and his entourage was to supervise the Brimob Post of Ops Damai Cartenz-2024 in Kiwirok District and also to find out the activities of the people in Kiwirok District.
Meanwhile, the Head of Kiwirok District, Mr. Abedeus Tepmul on the occasion during the interview said, as the head of the kiwirok district, we established a good working relationship with the TNI-Polri, Polsek, Koramil and the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Task Force.
“Since November 30, 2022, we, the people of Kiwirok District, have returned to occupy the capital of Kiwirok District until now in a safe, calm and peaceful condition, and what we hope for is development,” said the head of Kiwirok District.
He continued, we together with the TNI-Polri always build cooperation to invite back the remnants of our community who are still traumatized by KKB’s actions some time ago and have not returned to Kiwirok District so that they can return and live in harmony and peace with us.
“At present, I as the head of the Kiwirok District have carried out government administration well and I am assisted by the TNI-Polri in terms of ensuring security in the Kiwirok District. And for airplane flights to Kiwirok District has been running normally, “he said.
He added, thus related to the democratic party or general election on February 14, we Kiwirok District are ready to carry out the democratic party well.
