Timika – Police are still pursuing 4 perpetrators in the murder of Papuan activist Michelle Kurisi Ndoga in Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Mountains. The four perpetrators have been included in the wanted list (DPO).
“There are still 4 more (perpetrators),” said Cartenz Peace Task Force Head Kombes Faizal Ramadhani to journalists in Mimika Regency, Central Papua.
Faizal revealed that previously the authorities had arrested 4 perpetrators in this murder case. The four of them each have the initials PM, AW, RK, and JW.
“At first we arrested 3 people, then arrested another 1 person. Until now there have been no new suspects added,” he said.
Commissioner Faizal said that the authorities are still looking for the whereabouts of the four perpetrators who have not been arrested. However, the authorities already know the involvement of the perpetrators in this murder case.
“However, we already know all about the involvement of the people involved and this is what we are continuing to search for these DPOs,” he explained.
It is known that Papuan activist Michelle Kurisi Ndoga was murdered in Jayawijaya Regency on Tuesday (29/8). Michelle’s body was found in Kolawa District, Lanny Jaya Regency, Thursday (31/8).
The authorities first arrested the perpetrator PM in Jayawijaya Regency, Thursday (5/10). The police then arrested the perpetrator AW on Friday (6/10) and the perpetrator RK was arrested in Tolikara Regency on the same day.
“We have arrested the suspected perpetrator of Michelle’s murder with the initials PM in Jayawijaya. Then the next day we carried out developments and arrested the suspected perpetrator AW again in Jayapura and then RK alias RM in Tolikara,” said Commissioner Faizal Ramadhani in his statement, Monday (9/10 ).
Finally, the perpetrator with the initials JW (30), who was on the DPO, was also arrested. The perpetrator, who is a member of the West Papua National Committee (KNPB), was arrested in Lanny Jaya Regency, Thursday (9/11).
“We succeeded in arresting one of the DPOs who murdered Michelle Kurisi Ndoga,” said Head of the Peace Cartenz Public Relations Task Force AKBP Bayu Suseno in his statement, Saturday (11/11).
