Timika – Issues or Hoax news that occurred in Central Papua, especially in Kab. This Mimika often disturbs the public. This was also conveyed by Timika Traditional Leader Mr. Pitnaipa at a meeting of traditional tribes in Timika, Sunday (17/12/2023).
Mr. Pitnaipa is a member of the Mee Tribal Council in Timika which covers traditional areas including Kab. Deiya, Dogiyai, Panian, Nabire and Mimika.
In his interview, Mr. Pitnaipa invited all levels of society in Timika not to believe Hoax news whose source was unclear.
“I agree, at the meeting here we remain supportive and we must not accept hoax issues from outside which are not necessarily true,” said Pitnaipa.
Furthermore, Pitnaipa also provided understanding to the Mee Tribe community in Timika to hear what he had to say.
“After I return home, I direct the public to follow what we are currently conveying,” he continued.
Apart from inviting the public not to believe the Haox news, the traditional leaders of the Mee Tribe also invited the Mee Tribe community to maintain the security and social security situation ahead of the regional elections.
“To support the situation in Timika, we work together to make the 2024 regional elections a success,” concluded Pitnaipa.
