Jayapura – The Puncak Resort Police conducted a crime scene (TKP) related to the shooting case carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) against a resident named Lukman Ahmad (32) and the fire of two house units that occurred on Wednesday (23/8/ 2023) around 19.15 wit.
Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police Kombes Pol. Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, S.H., S.I.K., M.Kom., said TKP processing was one of the ways for the apparatus to uncover perpetrators and look for evidence.
“The TKP investigation was carried out on Friday (25/8/2023) at around 11.15 wit. The aim is to find and collect information, clues, evidence, identity of suspects, witnesses/victims for the benefit of further investigations,” said the Head of Public Relations when interviewed directly by the media crew, Friday (25/8/2023) afternoon.
The Head of Public Relations said that the two houses that burned down belonged to the Ilaga District Head and one house belonged to ASN in Puncak Regency.
“I corrected the previous news which said the Deputy Regent’s house was on fire and it happened on Wednesday, not Friday morning,” said Kombes Benny.
Kombes Benny said that the cause of the fire was still being investigated by the Yahukimo Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
“There were no injuries or fatalities as a result of the fire incident. While processing the TKP the situation is under control, personnel have secured a number of pieces of evidence which will then be taken to the Puncak Police Headquarters for investigation purposes,” said Kombes Benny.
