Jayapura – The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) attacked the Brimob BKO Post in Yahukimo, Tuesday, August 1, 2023. The KKB group opened fire on the Papua Police Mobile Brigade Post BKO Yahukimo Police on Jalan Paradiso, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains.
Head of Public Relations of the Papuan Police Kombes Pol. Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, when confirmed, confirmed the incident.
He explained that the shooting occurred on Monday, July 31, 2023, at around 23.40 WIT at the Yahukimo Police Mobile Brigade BKO Post.
“According to reports received via HT (Handy Talkie), this attack was carried out using a firearm from the left side of the Brimob post,” said the Head of Public Relations.
Furthermore, the Head of Public Relations said that after receiving the report, the Joint Personnel of the Yahukimo Police in collaboration with the Cantenz Damai Task Force immediately backed up and responded to the report.
“Joint personnel can quickly control the situation around the location,” he said.
There were no casualties in the incident. After the incident, the situation in Dekai City, Yahukimo Regency was safe and conducive.
