Jayapura – Head of Damai Operations Cartenz 2023 Kombes Pol. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos, S.I.K., M.H. said that there were many obstacles to free Pilot Susi Air from the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), one of which was the weather and terrain, Wednesday (26/07/2023).
“We keep looking. Related to the terrain, troop shifts, weather, that’s what makes it difficult,” said Faizal in Jayapura.
His party also said that initially the search for the Susi Air Pilot focused on three district areas in Papua Province, namely Nduga, Lanny Jaya and Puncak and had a hill topography with an altitude of 3,000 meters.
“With very difficult terrain. There is an average altitude of 3,000,” continued Faizal.
Previously, Susi Air Pilot Philip Mark Marthen was taken hostage by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led by Egianus Kogoya on 7 February.
It is also known, on May 26 or two months ago, KKB released a video showing Philip’s condition. The New Zealand pilot said KKB would shoot him if there were no negotiations within two months.
