Kamuu – After the Burning Event of Ikebo Market Kab. Dogiyai, who destroyed 75 residents’ homes and kiosks, personnel from the Carstensz Peace 2023 task force together with the community cleared the remaining debris from the fire, Wednesday (19/07/2023).
This activity was led by the Wakasatgas Gakum Kombes Pol Joko Sulistio, S.I.K., M.H. and also attended by the PJU Polda Papua which aims to help the victims of the fire to clean up the remaining debris from the fire some time ago.
During the cleaning activity, the personnel found several arrows in a pile of debris left by the fire.
Local resident Asli Dogiyai, one of the victims whose house caught fire, said the fire was a disaster and had become a risk.
“This fire is a disaster, so I accept whatever happens, it’s okay because it has become a risk for me,” said one resident when interviewed at the location of the fire in Kab. Dogiyai.
In addition, the resident expressed his gratitude to the personnel of the Damai Carstensz task force for cleaning up the remaining debris from the fire.
“I thank you because you have cleaned my house,” he said.
Previously, a fire incident occurred at the Ikebo market on July 13 2023 some time ago which destroyed 75 residents’ stalls in Kamuu District, Kab. Dogiyai.
