Timika – The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) continues to carry out acts of terror in a number of areas in Papua by shooting at TNI posts in the Kenyam Airport area, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains, Thursday (22/06/2023).
Head of Damai Operations Cartenz 2023 Kombes Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H. when confirmed confirmed the shooting contact.
“The gunfire at the TNI post in the Kenyam Airport area, Nduga Regency, occurred at 09:45 WIT. Gunshots were heard 5 times when Kopasgat personnel wanted to enter to secure the Kenyam airport route,” said Faizal.
His party also denied that there were any victims during the gun battle at the Kenyam Airport Post.
“There were no casualties and no material losses from the shooting at the Kenyam Airport Post,” he continued.
The current situation at Kenyam Airport has returned to normal and is conducive but the TNI – Polri officers are still on standby to anticipate unwanted things from happening by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB).
