Jayapura – The Papua Regional Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Mathius Fakhiri, stated that the security situation and public order in the Papua Province area were generally in a relatively conducive condition.
A conducive situation is also taking place in several police stations in mountainous areas where security disturbances often occur.
“Even so, members are asked to remain vigilant and alert,” said Inspector General Faakhiri in Jayapura, Wednesday (21/6).
His party also asked its members to remain vigilant and not be easily provoked by the movements carried out by the armed criminal group (KKB) and their sympathizers.
“Even so, we ask members to remain vigilant and alert,” he continued.
He said there were several video recordings of the incident that were circulating in the community. The video can be the initial data to be followed up.
“I have asked the police chief to arrest all the perpetrators in the video which is being shared everywhere and will be assisted by the Cartenz Peace Task Force,” said the regional police chief.
