Joko Sulistio, S.I.K., M.H., when interviewed, said that the raid on the KKB headquarters in Ambaidiru Village, Kosiwo District, was in the context of taking action and law enforcement against the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), which was known some time ago to have committed a crime by setting fire to heavy equipment. He continued, during the raid, no residents were arrested and the evidence that had been confiscated had been handed over to the Yapen Islands Police investigators, in this case the Criminal Investigation Unit for further investigation and examination.
He added that the security situation in Yapen Islands Regency was generally safe and conducive, but the security forces, in this case the Cartenz Peace Ops task force and the Yapen Islands Police, continued to increase patrols to prevent disturbances from the KKB which could affect community activities in Yapen Islands Regency.
