Timika – The Cartenz Damai Task Force arrested the Head of the Kenyam District with the initials MM (37). He is suspected of helping the armed criminal group (KKB) in Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains.
Head of Operations Damai Cartenz 2023 Kombes Pol Faizal Rahmadani, S.sos., S.I.K., M.H confirmed the arrest of the Kenyam District Chief.
“We have secured one of the regional officials, namely on behalf of MM, who is the Head of the Kenyam District,” said Kombes Pol Faizal.
He said the arrest of MM was carried out because there were strong indications of his involvement in helping to fund the KKB for the Nduga region to purchase ammunition and KKB needs.
“The person concerned helped provide assistance to the KKB Group with a sum of money and a case. This is a development of the Yomce Lokbere case and the person concerned gave around 30 million to buy ammunition,” he said.
In line with this previously, the Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol Mathius D Fakhiri ordered his staff to take firm action against officials who were suspected of having contributed to funding the KKB action in the Nduga Regency area, Papua Mountains.
Our hope is that this will serve as a warning to all of us to be more concerned and also more aware of the activities carried out by the Armed Criminal Groups.
