Jayapura – One more TNI member has died at the hands of the Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB). Namely, Pratu F personnel from the Yonif R 321/GT Task Force became the fifth victim of the KKB Papua attack in Mugimam, Nduga, Papua Mountains.
Pratu F along with other TNI personnel, were previously involved in a shootout with the KKB in the Mugi District, Nduga, Papua Mountains in an effort to rescue the Susi Air pilot. This news was conveyed by the TNI Commander Admiral TNI Yudo Margono through a statement, Sunday (23/04/2023).
“Private F’s body was found by the Joint Team which since the shooting incident has been searching for and tracing the shooting incident by the KKB Papua,” said Yudo.
The body of the deceased Pratu F was immediately evacuated to Timika, and then taken to the local Hospital for the disposal of the body.
“It is planned that the body of the late Pratu F will be returned to his hometown in Magelang, Central Java on Monday 24 April 2023 tomorrow,” he said.
It is known that Praru F died while carrying out a search and rescue operation for Susi Air pilot Phillip Mehrtens, who was held hostage by KKB Papua since February 7 2023.
