Timika – The Joint Team of the TNI-Polri Ops Damai Carstenz-2023, managed to secure firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition that allegedly belonged to the KKB in the Nduga region, Monday (10/04/2023).
The Joint Team of TNI-Polri Ops Damai Cartenz-2023, led by Lt. Col. Inf. Rinto Wijaya, M.I.Pol. M.Han, Danyonif Raider 514/Sabbada Yudha and Captain Countri Aurora, as well as Ipda Rajab Ilyas and Ipda Krisna succeeded in taking control of one of the KKB headquarters in the Nduga region securing firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
The Head of Operations Damai Carstenz 2023 represented by the Head of the Cartenz 2023 Ops Damai Cartenz Task Force Kombes Pol I.G.G. Era Adhinata, S.I.K gave a statement in the Press Release event which took place at the Yan Mimika Police Headquarters, confirming that, it was true that there were firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition and a number of other pieces of evidence that had been successfully secured by the joint TNI-Polri Ops Damai Cartenz-2023 apparatus.
“The evidence (BB) that was secured was the result of the development of an investigation from an alleged KKB member in the Nduga region who had been previously secured by a joint TNI-Polri apparatus with the initials “Y.L”.” Said Kombes Era Adhinata.
He further added, for the current situation in Nduga Regency it is still safe, but the joint officers continue to carry out patrols in order to provide security guarantees to the people in Kab. Guess

Previously, the suspect Y.L was involved in several crimes, including:
- Year 2021 camp burning. Dollarossa;
- On February 2, 2021, he was involved in a shootout with the TNI Yonif Raider 700 at mapemduma;
- On June 7, 2022 the shooting of the PK-SMG sam air plane at Kenyam Airport, Kab. Nduga;
- On February 5 2023, 15 puskesmas workers were involved in threatening the Paro district, Kab. Nduga;
- February 7, 2023 involved in the burning of the plane and the kidnapping of the Susi Air pilot;
By securing the suspect Y.L, of course, it can reduce the more sporadic actions of the KKB group led by Egianus Kogoya. This was a serious blow to the Egianus group.
At present the condition of the suspect Y.L is still cooperative and healthy and we are currently carrying out developments.
