The Kenyam- TNI-Polri have succeeded in controlling the area of the Nduga district and narrowing down the movement of Egianus Kogoya who is known to have taken hostage of Susi Air pilot, Captain Philips Max Martheins.(Tuesday/21/2/23).
When confirmed, the Nduga Police Chief, AKBP Rio Alexander Panelewen, said that currently the situation in Nguga district was relatively safe and efforts to find the pilot’s whereabouts were still being carried out.
The Head of Police continued, the TNI and Polri had taken control of the Nduga regency area and had narrowed the space for Egianus Kogoya and his group to move.
“The TNI and Polri have taken control of Nduga, and we are still prioritizing efforts to negotiate and approach. Back to Egianus, do you want to give up and return the Pilot to us or not?” Said the chief of the Nduga police.
He continued, TNI-Polri troops had been deployed and had blocked all the routes through which the KKB had passed. All of this is a symbol that here the state is here to save its people from the disturbances of the KKB as well as to save the pilots.
“The country cannot lose. All troops have been inserted, so it’s up to Egianus, whether to surrender or not. Said the Nduga Police Chief.
