Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Djamari Chaniago, together with the Chief of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Muhammad Herindra, paid a working visit to Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Pegunungan, where they joined local residents in celebrating Christmas. The visit reflects the central government’s ongoing commitment to supporting development and ensuring the welfare of communities in the region.
During the event, the Coordinating Minister emphasized that Jayawijaya has long been known for its strong potential in tourism and agriculture. The regency, often referred to as the “city of peace, safety, comfort, and beauty”—or Dani—is considered an important area in strengthening stability and welfare across Papua Pegunungan.
“We remain committed to supporting government programs and policies aimed at improving the well-being of the people in Jayawijaya and the wider Papua Pegunungan region,” he said.
