Mimika, Papua – The Indonesian National Police (Polri), through Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, has once again achieved success in maintaining security in Papua by uncovering a network supplying firearms and ammunition to the Armed Criminal Group (KKB). This achievement has received appreciation from various parties, including Jhon Murib, a community leader of the Dani Tribe in Mimika.
According to Jhon Murib, this success demonstrates the security forces’ commitment to creating a safe and stable environment in Papua. “This is a concrete step in curbing the movement of groups that threaten security. We appreciate Polri and all parties involved in this operation,” he stated on Tuesday (March 18).
Furthermore, he urged the people of Papua to work together in maintaining security, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. He hopes that the community will not be easily provoked by those seeking to disrupt regional stability.
This success further strengthens the government’s and security forces’ efforts to ensure that Papua remains safe and peaceful.
