Tri Tito Swears in the Chairperson of TP PKK and Posyandu Supervisory Team for Papua Province for 2025-2030 Period

JAKARTA – The Head of the Family Empowerment and Welfare Movement (TP PKK), Tri Tito Karnavian, officially swore in Ra’fatul Mulkiyah Mathius Fakhiri as the Chairperson of TP PKK for Papua Province for the 2025-2030 period, along with the Chairperson of the Posyandu Supervisory Team for the same period. The inauguration took place at the Sasana Bhakti Praja (SBP) Building, Central Office of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Jakarta, on Monday (October 13).

In his speech, Tri Tito congratulated Ra’fatul on the trust bestowed upon her. He expressed confidence that, with her extensive experience and dedication, Ra’fatul can lead TP PKK and Posyandu in Papua effectively and sustainably.

Tri Tito also expressed gratitude to the Acting Chairperson of TP PKK for Papua Province for 2025, Tyas A. Fatoni, for her dedication and contributions to advancing the organization. He emphasized that TP PKK and Posyandu are government partner institutions that have official legal backing, enabling them to secure funding from the government, and must be accountable for the programs they implement.

“As government-affiliated institutions, TP PKK and Posyandu are regulated under several laws, including Presidential Regulation No. 99 of 2017 concerning the Movement for Family Empowerment and Welfare, as well as Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 36 of 2020 and Regulation No. 13 of 2024 on Posyandu,” explained Tri Tito.

Furthermore, Tri Tito hopes that the newly appointed Chairperson of TP PKK and the Posyandu Supervisory Team in Papua can identify priority programs aligned with local needs, such as food security, economic empowerment, health and nutrition improvement, and strengthening Posyandu based on six standard service minimums (SPM).

He also reminded the importance of strengthening institutional capacity and cross-sector partnerships to ensure program sustainability. Additionally, he emphasized continuous training and mentoring to improve the professionalism, resilience, and social adaptability of cadre volunteers.

Tri Tito stressed that TP PKK Papua should form optimal partnerships with related regional agencies, such as the Department of Community and Village Empowerment, Regional Planning and Development, and financial and asset management, to achieve its goals.

“Papua is expected to become a role model for eastern Indonesia in building resilient, healthy, and independent families through structured and sustainable PKK and Posyandu movements,” he said.

Present at the inauguration were the Minister of Home Affairs, Muhammad Tito Karnavian; the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Ribka Haluk; the Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Tomsi Tohir; along with officials and leadership from TP PKK at the central and regional levels. Representatives from various ministries and institutions also attended, including the Deputy for Prevention at BNN RI, M. Zainul Muttaqien; the Director of Community Empowerment and Participation at the National Gizi Board, Tengku Syahdana; among others.

This inauguration marks an important step in strengthening family empowerment programs in Papua, aiming to bring significant benefits to local communities and the eastern region of Indonesia.
