Jayapura – A prominent Papuan youth leader, Elisa Bouway, has called on the people of Papua not to be swayed by false information or hoaxes spread by certain groups seeking to disrupt peace in the region.
Bouway emphasized that Papua today is living in peace within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). He stated that Papuans have been granted full rights to develop their land for the benefit of future generations.
“Do not believe in hoaxes manipulated by irresponsible actors. Papua is now in peace, within Indonesia, and we have the opportunity to develop our land for our common future,” he said.
He further urged Papuans to uphold unity, preserve social harmony, and respect the values enshrined in the 1945 Constitution as a foundation for building both Papua and a stronger Indonesia.
