In an effort to build closeness with the community and carry out the mission of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, the Peace Cartenz 2025 Ops Action Task Force again held social activities by presenting free shaving services for children in Lanny Jaya Regency, Papua Mountains.
This activity received high enthusiasm from local children. They enthusiastically participated in this service, which in addition to providing practical benefits, also became a moment of togetherness that strengthened the relationship between the Cartenz Peace Task Force and the local community.
Deputy Head of Peace Cartenz 2025, Cheif Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., also gave appreciation to the implementation of this activity. According to him, programs like this not only provide direct benefits for the community, but also become one of the most effective ways to build good communication between officials and residents.
“We not only come to maintain security, but also want to be present in the social life of the community. This free haircut is not just an ordinary service, but a means of interaction that creates closeness and mutual trust between the police and the community. Our hope, through this activity, residents are more convinced that the presence of the Cartenz Peace Task Force is to protect and help them,” explained Cheif Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga.
He also emphasized that the approach applied by the Cartenz Peace Task Force is one of the key strategies in maintaining a conducive situation in Papua. In addition to through law enforcement operations, his party also strives to build better communication with the community through various humanitarian activities.
“We want to invite the public to work together to maintain security. Security is not only the responsibility of the apparatus, but also belongs to all of us. With positive interaction like this, we believe the community will be more open and support our efforts in creating a more peaceful and prosperous region,”* he added.
In addition to getting a free haircut, children who participate in this activity also feel the attention and care from the security forces. Some of them expressed their happiness because they got a service that is usually paid for free, considering that the price of haircuts in that area is quite expensive for some residents.
“Usually you have to pay if you want to get a haircut, so I’m happy to be able to shave for free with the police brothers,” said one of the children with a smiling face.
This activity also received a positive response from the local community. One of the community leaders in Lanny Jaya stated that initiatives like this really help the residents and have a good impact in improving the relationship between the security apparatus and the community.
“We are happy with this activity. Children feel cared for, and this also shows that the police really care about the community, not only about safety but also small things that are useful for us,” he said.
Head of Public Relations Operation Peace Cartenz, Cheif Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., emphasized that this program is part of the humanist approach strategy that continues to be put forward by the Task Force in creating stability in Papua.
“We want the public to see that our presence is not only to maintain security, but also to be a part of their lives. Activities like this become a means for us to interact with the community, especially children, so that they feel closer and more comfortable with the security forces,”* said Cheif Commissioner of Police Yusuf.
Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 not only focuses on law enforcement, but also focuses on social and humanitarian activities to build trust and create harmonious relationships with the Papuan people. In addition to the free hair shaving program, the Task Force is also active in various other social activities, such as free health services, education for children, to the distribution of humanitarian assistance for residents in need.
With these more humanistic approaches, the Cartenz 2025 Peace Task Force hopes that their presence in the community is not only as a security guard, but also as a partner who is ready to help and support the welfare of the Papuan people.
