Lanny Jaya – In an effort to strengthen ties with the community, personnel from Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 organized a free haircut event for children in Lanny Jaya Regency, Highland Papua.
The event took place at Post Blukar 6.7, Tiom, on Friday (March 14) under the theme Papuan Children’s Haircuts.
It all started when a group of children passed by the post after school. Noticing that their hair had grown long, the on-duty personnel offered them free haircuts. Given the high cost of barbershop services in the area, the children enthusiastically accepted the offer. The haircuts were skillfully performed by Bharatu Pauola Abilio Dacosta, who trimmed their hair one by one.
Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., Deputy Head of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, stated that this initiative was part of ongoing efforts to build public trust in security forces.
“This activity is not just about cutting hair; it is also a way for us to engage with the community, especially children. We want to show that the presence of the police is not only about maintaining security but also about demonstrating social care,” he explained.
The children who participated were delighted and grateful to receive free haircuts. Moreover, the warm interactions during the event fostered a sense of closeness between the officers and the local community.
Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 continues to prioritize a soft approach in maintaining stability in Papua. Various other social programs, including healthcare services, education, and humanitarian aid, are consistently carried out to strengthen relationships with the public and create a more harmonious environment in the region.
