Cartenz 2025 Peace Ops Task Force Worships with GKI Pniel Yalimo Congregation, Pray for Peace in Papua

YALIMO – The Banops Sub-task force of the Health of the Cartenz Peace Operation 2025 held a worship with the community in Yalimo Regency on Sunday, February 9, 2025. The activity that took place at the Evangelical Christian Church (GKI) Pniel, Elelim District, was attended by Ipda dr. Budi Agustian and Bripka Heribertus A.B. Tena, S.Tr.AK., M.Si, with local congregations.

This solemn and warm worship was also filled with joint prayers for the safety of TNI-Polri soldiers and the government that continues to strive to serve the community in Yalimo. In an atmosphere of harmonious togetherness, the congregation and Cartenz Peace Ops personnel prayed to God that the area would always be kept away from all forms of violence and blessed with peace.

“We are grateful to be able to worship with our brothers in Yalimo. Our prayer is that security and peace will always accompany the community here. We also pray for all soldiers and officers on duty, so that they will always be given protection by God in serving the nation and country,” said Ipda dr. Budi Agustian.

The familiarity between the congregation and police personnel also seemed so close throughout the worship. This family-filled atmosphere becomes a tangible manifestation of synergy between security forces and the community in creating safe and peaceful conditions in Papua.

Wakaops Peace Cartenz 2025, Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., also appreciated this activity as part of the humanist approach in maintaining security stability in Papua.

“We always emphasize that a humanist approach and partnership with the community are the main keys in creating a safe and conducive situation in Papua. This joint worship is a real proof that the National Police is not only present in law enforcement, but also in building togetherness and peace in the community,” said Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga

Meanwhile, the GKI Pniel congregation also welcomed the presence of police personnel in the worship.

“We feel happy and blessed with the presence of brothers from the police who join the worship together. Hopefully with this togetherness, we can all continue to maintain peace in Yalimo,” said one of the GKI Pniel congregations.

This worship is proof that peace and brotherhood can continue to be established in the community, with the spirit of togetherness between citizens and officials who are on duty to realize a safe and harmonious Papua.
