In commemoration of the 79th anniversary of Indonesia’s Police Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob), the Central Sulawesi Brimob Task Force, part of the Operasi Damai Cartenz (ODC) 2024 Peace Operation Task Force, extended support to students at the Alemsom Dormitory in Ngutop Village, Oksibil District, Pegunungan Bintang Regency, by distributing essential food supplies on Monday, November 11, 2024.
The event was led by Sector Commander of Pegunungan Bintang, Inspector M. Kasim Lating, S.Tr. K., alongside IPDA Henry K. Polaka, SH., and IPDA Sakir. They were warmly welcomed by the children residing in the dormitory who are attending school in the Oksibil District.
Through this distribution of food supplies, the ODC 2024 Task Force demonstrated that the police presence serves not only law enforcement and security purposes but also provides a positive social impact, strengthening the bond between law enforcement and the local community.
In his remarks, Inspector Kasim Lating explained that the food distribution aimed to celebrate the 79th Brimob anniversary and hoped it would contribute to the children’s well-being and growth, inspiring them to become devoted citizens of their nation.
“Hopefully, this support will benefit them in meeting their daily needs,” he said.
The children at the Alemsom Dormitory expressed gratitude to the task force for their generous assistance.
“Thank you, sir, for the food,” said one of the children.
