Timika – Director of the Central Papua Legal Aid Foundation (YLBH) Yoseph Temorubun, S.H. officially gave a statement in response to the actions carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in the Land of Papua, Tuesday (06/06/2023).
Apart from that, he also said he supports the TNI-Polri apparatus in enforcing the law against KKB in Papua and also appealed to the people in Papua to jointly maintain security and order.
The following is the contents of YLBH Central Papua’s statement submitted by Yoseph Temorubun, S.H. :
- We YLBH Central Papua provide full support to the TNI-Polri to enforce the law against KKB in the land of Papua;
- We YLBH Central Papua appeal to all levels of society who live and domicile in the land of Papua to jointly maintain public order and security in the land of Papua in a safe and peaceful condition;
- We YLBH Papua Tengah condemn the acts of violence committed by the KKB under the leadership of Egianus Kogoya and other KKB groups who always carry out terror and violence against civilians because they have violated the law and human rights, including human rights violations in the hostage of Susi Air Pilot Philip Mehrtens;
- We YLBH Central Papua condemn and strongly condemn the acts of violence committed by the KKB in Yapen and all acts of violence committed by the KKB in the land of Papua;
- We, YLBH Papua Tengah, make an appeal to all human rights activist organizations and youth organizations in the land of Papua to provide messages of peace through various media and social media discussions that can provide coolness to the public and make the land of Papua a land of peace.
As is known, the actions carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in the land of Papua are very disturbing to the people who live in the land of Papua, both migrants and Orang Asli Papua (OAP).
Many of them were victims of the atrocities of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB). Not only civil society who became victims of his atrocities, many TNI-Polri officers also became victims of attacks carried out by the KKB group in the land of Papua.
