Nduga – Police officials revealed the latest condition of Susi Air pilot Captain Philips Max Marten who was taken hostage by the armed criminal group (KKB) led by Egianus Kogoya, Thursday (23/03/2023).
Nduga Police Chief AKBP Rio Alexander Panelewen said Philips’ health condition had declined due to several factors. “We can confirm that the current pilot until the last update is still alive,” he said.
“However, there are several analyzes from us that the pilot’s condition is currently declining, that is from several factors that we are analyzing, due to fatigue, weather or food,” he continued.
Meanwhile, efforts to negotiate are still being carried out by the police. Efforts to negotiate the pilot’s release have used several alternatives.
“However, from several alternatives, until now it has not been successful, but we are still working on it,” he explained.
Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said he and a limited number of cabinets would hold an internal meeting on Monday night (20/3/2023).
